South West Barrie Neighbourhoods

South West Barrie consists of many neighbourhoods that have been developed over the past 30 years. The area is broadly bounded by Dunlop Street on the north side, County Road 27 (now known as Town Line) to the west and Salem Road to the south. Highway 400 forms the eastern boundary of this block.

Many Developers serviced this large tract of land, which was divided into multiple Registered Plans and subsequently into plans of subdivision. Each plan of subdivision was typically named by the developer or the builder who purchased a large block of lots. Some of the names given to these neighbourhoods include:

Forest Hill  

Forest Hill West

Wildwood Estates

Maple Woodlands
