ESTATES OF LITTLE LAKE
Overview:
The Estates of Little Lake is one of the newer North Barrie neighbourhoods with most of the homes constructed between 2006 and 2010. This neighbourhood of larger detached single family homes, many with views of Little Lake and the surrounding parkland area, were primarily built by Firstview Homes and a smaller number by Morra Homes.
Location:
The Estates of Little Lake is bounded to the west by Livingstone Street East with the Little Lake nature preserve to the north and east. On the south is the Lion's Gate neighbourhood and to the northwest it abuts the east arm of Osprey Ridge Road.
Schools:
- Maple Grove Public Elementary (Grove Street East between St. Vincent and Duckworth)
- Monsignor Clair Catholic Elementary (Livingstone Drive E at Cundles Road E)
- Frere Andre Catholic French Elementary (Cundles Road E just E of Livingstone Street E)
- St. Josephs Catholic Secondary (Cundles Road E just E of Livingstone Street E - across Cundles Rd E Monsignor Clair and next to Frere Andre)
- Eastview Secondary (Grove Street E at Nelson Street)
Parks:

Osprey Ridge Park is steps away on the south side of Livingstone Street East Avenue at Surrey Drive. This large park also includes a sports field typically used for soccer.

The Little Lake Parkland is a great area for hiking and young explorers, however, limited development has occurred toward the longer term plan for this large enviromentally protected area.
Shopping & Services:
The Estates of Little Lake is walking distance from the Zehr's grocery store at Cundles Rd E and St. Vincent Street. It is also walking distance to Georgian College and 2 blocks from the Barrie Transit buses that run along Cundles Road with direct access to the "Golden Mile" on Bayfield Street. Here you will find 3 indoor Shopping Centres, including Bayfield Mall, Kozlov Centre, and the recently expanded Georgian Mall, as well as, many of the major "Big Box" retailers, all the major Grocery chains, a fill-service Home Building Centre, and Boutiques with every amenity close at hand.
Community Centre:
The East Bayfield Community Centre is full service facility complete with indoor pool, abundant recreation programs, and a complete gym. Whether young or old, this is another key reason Home Buyers choose to locate in North Barrie neighbourhoods, such as Estates of Little Lake.
